quest for interns, part 2

(follow-up to the quest for interns) We had a couple of comments on my post on akoha's blog about getting interns, so i thought i'd do a little follow-up. I don't much like ping-plogging (blogging about someone else's post in response to your post, etc.) (yes, i just made up that term), but i just have a few more comments of my own.

junior sysadmin job open...

We have a unix sysadmin job open at akoha (french posting)... i'm posting here just in case one of the few people who read this might be interested, or might know someone. We need that sysadmin yesterday, and it will make my life so much better that i hope we find someone soon :) Full posting below.

the quest for interns

Originally posted on the akoha blog. So we hired 3 interns in January, for a 4 month coop: Malini from Waterloo, Daniel from ÉTS and Maxime from Sherbrooke University. We weren't sure what the response would be to an apprentice ninja posting from a brand new, completely unknown startup. Back in November/December when we posted those jobs, we didn't even have a blog, all we had was a bare website announcing something would come.

akoha.org is live

I've been working at akoha.org since May '07, and we've been keeping the project under wraps all this time. Well, now some of that wrapping is coming off, and we've greatly updated our website. It does not contain the project itself - what we've been working on -, but it does have lots more information about us and the project, our team, jobs at akoha, news and, perhaps more interestingly, a blog. I can't say more than what is on the site except to say that we're entering a private, invitation-only testing phase for the project and that we're still developping madly, but much more information will be posted on the site as it's released, so subscribe to the RSS (for this blog and akoha's) or sign up for email delivery.

akoha.org est "live"

Notre site (là où je travaille depuis le mois de mai passé) akoha.org a été grandement mis à jour: on y trouve maintenant un petit historique, un blogue, des nouvelles, un lien vers notre site d'embauche et un survol de notre équipe (incluant une pas super belle photo de moi). Ce n'est pas le projet lui-même... c'est un prélude au projet. On développe en catimini depuis un bout, et nous commençons maintenant à tester le produit en le terminant. Alors en même temps, nous allons aussi commencer à parler un peu plus du projet... Je ne peux rien dire sur ce qu'il se passe exactement, ni quand ce sera ouvert au public, mais j'ai vraiment très hâte de 1- pouvoir vous le dire, et 2- que ça soit sorti :)
